Easy Strawberry Chia Jam

Description

This easy strawberry chia jam only requires 4 ingredients and 15 minutes of your time. It is healthy, refined sugar free and vegan! This jam is the perfect addition to your pancakes, waffles, yogurt and more!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups (350g) whole strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Place a saucepan on medium heat and add the whole strawberries.
  2. As they start to soften, mash the berries with your wooden spoon or a potato masher to your desired consistency.
  3. When the liquids are starting to bubble, turn off the heat but keep the pan on the burner. Add the chia seeds, lemon juice and maple syrup. Give a good stir and let the mixture sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
  4. Transfer the jam to an airtight container and let it sit in the fridge for about 2 hours before eating.

Notes

You can store this strawberry chia jam in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
