Description
These Christmas M&M’s Chocolate Chip Cookies are the perfect festive treat! This easy recipe yields chewy cookies with slightly crispy edges!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (226g) unsalted better, melted
- 1 1/3 cup (280g) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cup (350g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp salt
- 2/3 cup (160g) christmas chocolate M&M’s
- 2/3 cup (120g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, cornstarch and salt. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until fully combined. Add in the eggs one at a time and the vanilla extract.
- Incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Finally, fold in the M&M’s and chocolate chips.
- Using a large cookie scoop (~3 tbsp), drop the cookie dough onto the baking sheet. I recommend only doing 3 or 4 cookies per sheet because they spread out quite a bit while baking. Bake for 11 minutes and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for another 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
Notes
To make your cookies look more festive, add extra M&M’s on top of the dough ball before going in the oven!
